Roads and Traffic Authority Spit Bridge Widening Project – Preliminary Reliability Study
Capability By Design (CBD) was contracted to undertake a preliminary reliability study. This assessment was undertaken as a Failure Modes, Effects and Critically Analysis (FMECA). At the time of the study the design had not been finalised. The study was limited to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). CBD’s software Assure™ was used to conduct the assessment.
The study was conducted in two stages:
• Stage 1: A review of the design and accompanying documentation (data) and the arrangement of the data into Assure™, CBD’s reliability analysis tool.
• Stage 2: Obtain reliability data for the principal components of the bridge mechanical operating system. Conduct a preliminary FMECA and produce a formal report of the results.
Australian Defence Force Food Specification Review
In November 2006, Capability By Design was contracted to review and rewrite 150 Food Specifications for the Australian Defence Force. The task entailed researching all relevant information including relevant Legislation, Food Safety Regulations, and Australian and International Standards for incorporation into the specifications.
Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) were raised for each new or updated specification, justifying technical decision, milestones and recommendations. All documents and ECPs were staffed to the ADF Catering Fleet Technical Cell for review and acceptance.
