Engineering asset management continues to grow in importance in both public and private sector organisations more than a decade after Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA) was established as a Learned Technical Society of the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
Engineering asset management is increasingly a significant contributor to corporate productivity and good governance. It was against this backdrop that MESA decided to re-invent & re-invigorate itself as the Asset Management Council.
The team at CBD, in particular Peter Kohler, have been involved with the management and direction of MESA since its inception in 1994 and the AM Council since its inception in 2005.
Peter was instrumental in the ongoing success of MESA (as a past National Chairman and having developed the criteria and processes for the Australian Maintenance Engineering Excellence Awards).
As a member of the Board of the AM Council, Peter is responsible for the development of the Asset Management Body of Knowledge.
Peter is also an accredited AM Council deliverer of its one day AM Fundamentals Course. Peter is also an approved Team Leader for the Asset Management Excellence Awards.
CBD is a Silver Corporate Sponsor of the AM Council. All members of CBD are members of the AM Council and support its activities.
